This Championship will award points to the national Pre-Junior and Junior ranking in accordance with the regulations of the current NATIONAL AMATEUR RANKING of the Colombian Golf Federation. Additionally, it will award points to the International Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGSB) and the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
players who are at least 14 years old, who have a valid handicap certificate from the Colombian Golf Federation and who meet the following requirements, may participate:
Men’s Category: players whose handicap as of February 29, 2024 is 4.9 or less. Women’s
Women Category: players whose handicap as of February 29, 2024 is 9.9 or less.
Participating juniors will play seventy-two (72) holes using the stroke play system, in eight (08) stipulated rounds of nine (09) holes each. The championship will be played in two categories, Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles. Both championship categories will compete without handicaps, individually.
For the first day, groups of three players will be randomly formed. For the second day, tee times will be the same as the first day but reversed. From the third day onwards, groups will be formed using the 1-2-3, 4-5-6, system, and so on, taking into account the gross score.
Women: Approximately 6450 yards.
Men: Approximately 7291 yards.
The current Rules of Golf from R&A Rules Limited version 2023 and the Local Rules of the San Andrés Golf Club, previously approved by the judges assigned to the competition, will be applied.
Any driver used by the player to make a stroke must have a head identified by model and loft that is on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads provided by The R&A.
Any ball used to make a stroke must be on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by The R&A.
During a round, a player or caddie must not travel in any form of motorized transportation unless authorized or approved by the Committee
Women: The top five gross scores.
Men: The top five gross scores.
The committee reserves the right to modify the categories and trophy distribution based on the number of participants.
All trophies and prizes will be presented during the award ceremony.
